As a fashion student in Paris, Fashion week is always exciting.
It's is the opportunity to find an internship to get experiences and practice your knowledges.
OFS produces runway shows, showrooms and photo shoots. Since 2009 they have worked with over 600 designers from 61 countries. Their productions have been attended by Dolly Jones (Vogue UK), Caroline Rush (CEO, British Fashion Council), Claire Wilcox (Senior curator of fashion, Victoria & Albert Museum) and Anna Wintour who visited Oxford during our 2015 season to speak of her life and work.
Position :
- Intern as an event assistant
- Intern as a backstage assistant
What task you'll have to do :
* Event :
Prepared all the orders for the after show mostly beverages
Prepare the gifts bag for the special guests
Greeting the guest
Organize the space for the catwalk
* Backstage
Make sure the models are in the right order before going on the catwalk
Make sure all the looks are visible to make quick change between the models walk
Schedule when the press photographers can and can't come inside the backstage
What did have learned during this internship ?
The Fashion world is a fast industry. Be prepared for long days of work and expect to have foot pain you will not have a moment of rest. Expect to always have an unexpected event before the end of the day anything can happen.
But it's worth it , you will feel useful in something you really like and you'll learn a lot from those experiences.
